48 FREE AUTOCAD TUTORIALS - A COMPLETE COURSE

About the tutorials :

This site provides great tutorials / lessons for the student of AutoCAD. These lessons are designed to be as compatible with as many versions of AutoCAD as possible. They are based on AutoCAD 2008, but can be easily adapted to other versions. The lesson format was used in my CAD classes I have been teaching previously. Any feedback would be used to make these as useful as possible. Please note that these lessons are for private, individual use as well as public schools.

The advantage to these lessons is that they teach the commands in context. Many online lessons deal only with the command, and not how it fits in the "general plan". I have also added videos with most of the lessons so that you can see the commands in action, and visualize how the assignments can be done.

TUTORIALS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE ON CD OR DOWNLOAD!

If you would like to purchase these lessons for private use (as well as the lessons for R14, 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2008), they are available on CD for only $20. This will allow you to access the pages much quicker and easier than over the internet. Click here to find out more.

If you do not have a copy of AutoCAD, you can download a 30 day evaluation copy from Autodesk. Follow this link, or go directly to their website. You will be downloading AutoCAD 2009 and will work fine with these tutorials. The interface will look a little different, so if you look for a little gear icon in the bottome right corner and select it, you will see an option for AutoCAD Classic. Use this setting for hte tutorials here.

Here are complete lessons divided into 4 levels of learning. Each Level is one section that builds on the previous. Clicking on the lesson number below will take you to that lesson within the complete file. Each lesson also has its own quiz and each level has a combined quiz!

Many lessons have videos with narration to explain in detail some of the concepts. To view these videos, you will need the Adobe Flash player for your browser. Most of you should have it, but it is available here free of charge. Download the Flash Player
