AutoCAD 2004 – The CAD-Guy’s First LookAt first impression, it seems that there isn’t much in the way of ‘new’ commands. But what you will notice is some major enhancements to existing commands. For the average CAD users, there isn’t a lot of features that will force him to upgrade, but for the power user or CAD manager, they’ll be looking at 2004 with a twinkle in their eye. Check out my review - broken into sections: This review is by no means complete, it is meant to give an overview of the release based on my personal observations. I won’t cover everything, but hope to give you an overview that hopefully you’ll find informative and interesting and maybe save some of your valuable time. (Yes, a CAD Guy's time is valuable!) Like any new release, Autodesk has provided a “What’s New” overview called the “New Features Workshop”. This will allow you to see the enhancements in an organized manner once you’ve installed it. If any of these features interest you, please do yourself a favour and check into them further, or e-mail me. For the official version, please check out Autodesk’s website or check out their 2004 FAQ's. More information on AutoCAD 2004 can be found at TenLinks.com. |
